The club documented an SSSA event at YK Pao in March 2024. If your child has school-team goals, share the schedule and events with the coach. This past participation does not establish a formal school partnership or guarantee team selection.
Agree the commitment first.
Ask about entry requirements, weekly sessions, meet eligibility and any additional fees. Competition should be discussed around the swimmer’s readiness and goals. The current squad timetable and available places need direct confirmation.

Does my child have to compete?
Competition is one documented part of the club, but your child’s goals should guide the conversation. Ask whether a suitable non-competitive or development group is available rather than assuming every swimmer must race.
Can training support a school swim team?
The club has shared youth race experiences, including an SSSA event at YK Pao. Parents can discuss school-team goals with the coach. A race appearance does not imply an official partnership with that school or guarantee selection.
How should parents discuss swimming progress?
Agree a small set of goals with the coach: confidence, a more consistent stroke, or preparation for a race. Ask how feedback is shared and when those goals will be reviewed. Individual race results are examples, not promises for other children.
Can we attend after school or at weekends?
Tell the club your preferred after-school or weekend times. We will confirm which current sessions could suit your child and explain any term commitment before you book.
